provided by Fishbase
Found in stream with rocks, boulders, waterfalls and rapids between boulders; waterflow swift, not in quiet streams; habitat corresponds with preferred habitats of most other Chiloglanis species from the Rukwa drainage and elsewhere; associated with Kneria rukwaensis and Barbus sp. aff. brachygramma; water soft and slightly alcaline (pH 7.2); nothing known in detail on diet, but it seems to be omnivorous; nothing known on breeding habits (Ref. 27292).
