Liatris spicata (Dense Gayfeather) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are listed as threatened by COSEWIC. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and North America. They have purple flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Tawny-edged Skipper, Two-spotted Long-horned Bee, Brown-belted Bumblebee, and Southern Carpenter Bee. Individuals can grow to 4.5 feet.
