Nymphaea amazonum (Amazon Water Lily) is a species of perennial herb in the family waterlilies. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Rio Grande Do Norte, Pampa, ParaíBa, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Sul, Cerrado, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Acre (Brazil), Caatinga, Santa Catarina, Piauí, Alagoas, Distrito Federal, Ceará, Amazônia, GoiáS, Puerto Rico, Pantanal, Maranhao, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, RondôNia, Pará, Pernambuco, Tocantins, and Rio De Janeiro. They have simple, broad leaves.
