Papaver orientale (Oriental Poppy) is a species of perennial herb in the family Papaveraceae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to South Africa. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Oedemera nobilis, Cryptic Bumble Bee, Common Oblique Syrphid, and Small garden bumblebee.
