Papaver (Poppy) is a genus of herb in the family Papaveraceae. They are native to Alaska, The Contiguous United States, Canada, Greenland, and South Africa. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Red tailed bumblebee, Buff-tailed bumblebee, Honey bee, and Bombus haematurus. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
