Portulaca oleracea (Common Purslane) is a species of annual herb in the family Portulacaceae. They are succulent plants. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Melanostoma mellinum, checkered white, Hylotoma, and Clouded Skipper. Individuals can grow to 0.05 m.
