Portulaca (Purslane) is a genus of herb in the family Portulacaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, and Hawaii. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by White-lined Sphinx, Heliopetes ericetorum, Megachile seychellensis, and Apis cerana. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
