Portulaca halimoides (Silkcotton Purslane) is a species of annual herb in the family Portulacaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, The Contiguous United States, Rio De Janeiro, AmazôNia, Piauí, Caatinga, Distrito Federal, Mata AtlâNtica, ParaíBa, Cerrado, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Sergipe, Rio Grande Do Norte, GoiáS, Roraima, Maranhao, Pernambuco, Pampa, Pará, Tocantins, Amapá, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Alagoas, and Espirito Santo. They have simple, simple leaves.
