Reynoutria japonica (Flowering Bamboo) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by European honey bee, Bald-faced Hornet, Cheilosia, and marmalade hoverfly. Individuals can grow to 1.9 m.
