Ageratum conyzoides (Tropical Whiteweed) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Roraima, Pantanal, Alagoas, Maranhao, RondôNia, Pará, Rio Grande Do Norte, Caatinga, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Mata AtlâNtica, Tocantins, SãO Paulo, Ceará, GoiáS, Pernambuco, Paraná, Bahia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, AmazôNia, Distrito Federal, Pampa, Acre (Brazil), Piauí, Amapá, AmazôNia, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso, ParaíBa, Nicaragua, Solomon Islands, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, and Colombia. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Halictus, Axestotrigona cameroonensis, Braunsapis foveata, and Tetragonula laeviceps. Individuals can grow to 2.3 m.
