They are native to Pernambuco, RondôNia, Mato Grosso, Cerrado, Amapá, ParaíBa, Acre (Brazil), Tocantins, Amazônia, Pará, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, and GoiáS. They have capsule fruit.
