Juniperus virginiana (American Juniper) is a species of tree in the family Cupressaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to United States, Canada, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, North America, and northern hemisphere. They have simple, simple leaves, green flowers, and drupe. Flowers are visited by Callophrys gryneus. Individuals can grow to 50 feet.
