Asparagus officinalis (Garden Asparagus) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asparagaceae. They are native to China, Hungary, France, Switzerland, Greece, Russia, Belgium, Romania, Georgia, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Poland, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, Italy, Morocco, Iran, Lebanon, Austria, Turkey, Afghanistan, Moldova, Germany, Syria, Yugoslavia, Spain, Albania, Algeria, Bulgaria, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Denmark, Ukraine, Mongolia, and Portugal. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Coelioxys alternata, Rhamphomyia gilvipilosa, and Common carder bumblebee.
