Description: Female Pachysphinx modesta. This is a moth I raised from eggs which a female laid during the summer of 06. She's laying infertile eggs because no males eclosed at the same time to mate. Females tend to have unfeathered antennae while males do because females produce pheromones/scents to attract males. © 2007 Antoine Hnain. Date: 1 May 2004, 12:19. Source:
