Neomochtherus hypopygialis adalah spesies lalat yang tergolong famili Asilidae. Lalat ini juga merupakan bagian dari genus Neomochtherus, ordo Diptera, kelas Insecta, filum Arthropoda, dan kingdom Animalia.

Lalat ini mempunyai insting predator yang agresif dan makanannya utamanya adalah serangga lain.
