Senna alata (Candelabra Bush) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pantanal, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande Do Norte, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Mata Atlântica, Amapá, ParaíBa, Piauí, Caatinga, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Sul, Bahia, Pará, Ceará, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, Acre (Brazil), Tocantins, RondôNia, and Mato Grosso Do Sul. They have compound, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Dilemma Orchid Bee, Asian Weaver Ant, Southern Carpenter Bee, and Phoebis marcellina. Individuals can grow to 3 m.
