Hexactinellida (Hexactinellid Sponges) is a group of sponges. There are 665 species of Lasisienet, in 129 genera and 19 family. This group has been around since the Ediacaran Period. Lasisienet have asexual reproduction; they are a synchronous hermaphrodite. They are sessile animals.
