Spinescent bush, young shoots tomentose, hairs white appressed; older branches reddish or greyish brown. Leaf 1-2.5 cm long, rachis tomentose, persistent and becoming woody after leaflets have fallen off; leaflets 5, 3-8 mm long, 4 mm broad, ellipitic to elliptic-obovate, obtuse or slightly retuse, pubescent on both sides; petiole c. 0.5 mm long; stipules up to 1 mm long, pubescent. Flowers 1-2 on a pubescent rachis, up to 22 mm long. Bract up to 2 mm long. Calyx up to 4 mm long, pubescent teeth c. 2 mm long. Corolla yellow. Vexillum 8-10 mm long. Fruit indehiscent, up to 3 cm long, 2.5 cm broad, broadly ovate, obtuse or acute, pilose, stipe shorter, hidden in calyx.
