Canavalia rosea (Bay Bean) is a species of perennial herb in the family Fabaceae. It is a climber. It is native to the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Ceará, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, Pará, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraíba, Maranhao, Santa Catarina, Bahia, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, and Alagoas. Bay Bean has compound, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Mexican Sheartail. Bay Bean fixes nitrogen. It is a photoautotroph.
