Dialium guianense (Ironwood) is a species of tree in the family Fabaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Roraima, Maranhao, Pernambuco, Acre (Brazil), Alagoas, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Amapá, Espirito Santo, Bahia, Mata Atlântica, Sergipe, Amazônia, Pará, Rondônia, and Tocantins. Ironwood has compound, broad leaves. It fixes nitrogen. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 31 m.
