Malus pumila (apple) is a species of tree in the family Rosaceae. It is listed as endangered by IUCN. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Andrena haemorrhoa (Fabricius 1781), Andrenine bee, Andrena haemorrhoa (Fabricius 1781), and Hoplocampa testudinea (Klug). It is a photoautotroph.
