Prunus myrtifolia (West Indian Cherry) is a species of tree in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to RondôNia, Bahia, Rio De Janeiro, Cerrado, Caatinga, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, Mata Atlântica, Pernambuco, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Distrito Federal, Amapá, Paraná, Rio Grande Do Sul, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Pará, and GoiáS. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Dark Flower Scarab. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
