Chrysocoma ciliata (Bitter Karoo) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Southern Africa. They have broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Ceratina subquadrata, Pasites rufipes, Othinosmia schultzei, and Afroheriades primus.
