Impatiens (Jewelweeds) is a genus of herb in the family Balsaminaceae. They are native to North America. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Papilio polyxenes asterius, Common Eastern Bumble Bee, Hermeuptychia sosybius, and Ruby-throated hummingbird. Individuals can grow to 5.3 m.
