Giant Swordfern

Nephrolepis biserrata (Giant Swordfern) is a species of perennial herb in the family sword ferns. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, AmazôNia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Sergipe, The Contiguous United States, Piauí, Mata Atlântica, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso, Caatinga, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, Ceará, Maranhao, Santa Catarina, Puerto Rico, Roraima, SãO Paulo, ParaíBa, Amapá, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Norte, Alagoas, RondôNia, Cerrado, Pará, Distrito Federal, Pantanal, and Rio De Janeiro. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 14 m. They have alternation of generations.
