Gymnocarpium dryopteris (Oak Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Cystopteridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America, Canada, The Contiguous United States, Greenland, Alaska, United States, and Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.25 m. They have alternation of generations.
