They are native to Mato Grosso, Alagoas, Acre (Brazil), AmazôNia, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Norte, Amapá, GoiáS, Paraná, Espirito Santo, Piauí, SãO Paulo, Pantanal, Pará, Caatinga, Sergipe, Roraima, Minas Gerais, Bahia, RondôNia, Santa Catarina, Rio De Janeiro, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Maranhao, Puerto Rico, Mata AtlâNtica, Ceará, ParaíBa, Tocantins, Pernambuco, and Rio Grande Do Sul. They have pinnate leaves. They have alternation of generations.
