Opuntia polyacantha (Panhandle Prickly Pear) is a species of shrub in the family cacti. They are succulent plants. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Western North America, and United States. They have simple, photosynthetic stem leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Leaf-cutter and Resin Bees, Polites rhesus, Melissodes, and Uncas Skipper. Individuals can grow to 0.61 m.
