Cirsium altissimum (Tall Thistle) is a species of biennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Pseudopanurgus parvus, Eastern Babia, Pipiza femoralis, and Anatrytone logan. Individuals can grow to 4 m.
