Cirsium altissimum (Tall Thistle) is a species of biennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and achene. Flowers are visited by Eupsyche, Euphyes, Eastern Giant Swallowtail, and Hummingbird Clearwing. Individuals can grow to 4 m.
