Silene dioica (Red Catchfly) is a species of perennial herb in the family carpetweeds. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Longhorn moth, Byturus ochraceus, fetterbush, and Eupeodes luniger. Individuals can grow to 0.25 m. Reproduction is dioecious.
