They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Sergipe, Alagoas, Pampa, RondôNia, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Bahia, GoiáS, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Pernambuco, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Ceará, Pantanal, ParaíBa, Pará, Piauí, and Caatinga. They have capsule fruit.
