Persicaria hydropiperoides (Swamp Smartweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to RondôNia, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Eastern North America, ParaíBa, Pantanal, Mata AtlâNtica, Canada, Amapá, Paraná, Ceará, GoiáS, Caatinga, SãO Paulo, Distrito Federal, Tocantins, Espirito Santo, The Contiguous United States, North America, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Cerrado, Roraima, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, Sergipe, Maranhao, Rio De Janeiro, Piauí, Santa Catarina, Bahia, and Pará. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Flowers are visited by Junonia coenia, Pieris rapae, Atalopedes campestris, and Icaricia acmon.
