Amaranthus dubius (Spleen Amaranth) is a species of shrub in the family pigweed. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. Spleen Amaranth has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m. Reproduction is monoecious.
