Tilia americana (American Linden) is a species of tree in the family Malvaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, United States, North America, Eastern North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Coelioxys alternata, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Oxybelus emarginatus, and Two-tailed Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 100 feet.
