Ceiba pentandra (Kapok Tree) is a species of tree in the family Malvaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to AmazôNia, Maranhao, Roraima, Pará, Acre (Brazil), U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. They have compound, broad leaves and white flowers. Individuals can grow to 150 feet.
