Ochroma pyramidale (West Indian Balsa) is a species of tree in the family Malvaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, Amazônia, Pará, Acre (Brazil), and Amazônia. West Indian Balsa has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 30 m.
