Viola sororia (Common Blue Violet) is a species of annual herb in the family Violaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, magenta flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Brown-belted Bumblebee, Two-spotted Bumblebee, Osmia conjuncta, and Osmia simillima. Individuals can grow to 0.13 m.
