Passiflora edulis (Passion Fruit) is a species of plants in the family Passifloraceae. They are climbers. They are native to Pernambuco, Santa Catarina, Amazônia, Tocantins, Distrito Federal, Piauí, Ceará, Sergipe, Rio Grande Do Sul, Espirito Santo, ParaíBa, Minas Gerais, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Alagoas, Caatinga, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pantanal, Mato Grosso, SãO Paulo, Pará, Bahia, Paraná, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Norte, and GoiáS. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Neoxylocopa, Nomia, Carpenter Bees, and (page not found). Individuals can grow to 6 m.
