Brassica nigra (black mustard) is a herbaceous species of plants in the family Brassicaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Strymon sylvinus (Boisduval 1852), small white, Vanessa cardui, and Vanessa annabella. It is a photoautotroph.
