Cakile edentula (American Searocket) is a species of annual herb in the family Brassicaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to the contiguous United States, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, Alaska, Greenland, Canada, and eastern north america. American Searocket has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Zizina otis labradus. American Searocket is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.45 m.
