Acer platanoides (Norway Maple) is a species of tree in the family Sapindaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, Belgium, Belarus, Greece, Romania, Spain, France, Yugoslavia, Italy, Lithuania, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Norway, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Latvia, Hungary, Russia, Austria, Albania, Czech Republic, Armenia, Finland, Georgia, Afghanistan, Estonia, Switzerland, and Sweden. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Flowers are visited by Red Admiral. Individuals can grow to 50 feet. They have unisexual flowers.
