Acer platanoides (Norway Maple) is a species of tree in the family Sapindaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to eastern north america, Belgium, Belarus, Greece, Romania, Spain, France, Yugoslavia, Italy, Lithuania, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Norway, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Latvia, Hungary, Russia, Austria, Albania, Czech Republic, Armenia, Finland, Georgia, Afghanistan, Estonia, Switzerland, and Sweden. Norway Maple has simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Flowers are visited by Red Admiral. Norway Maple is a photoautotroph. It has unisexual flowers.
