Shepherdia canadensis (Buffalo Berry) is a species of shrub in the family Elaeagnaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America, United States, The Contiguous United States, Alaska, and Canada. They have simple, simple leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by dagger flies and balloon flies and Flower Flies and Hoverflies. Individuals can grow to 6 feet.
