Conocarpus erectus (Button Mangrove) is a species of tree in the family Combretaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to SãO Paulo, Maranhao, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, AmazôNia, Rio De Janeiro, Pará, Ceará, ParaíBa, Piauí, Alagoas, Pernambuco, Paraná, Sergipe, Mata AtlâNtica, Espirito Santo, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Atlantic And Gulf Coastal Plain (Agcp), Middle America, and Florida. They have simple, simple leaves. Individuals can grow to 20 m.
