Ximenia americana (Tallow Wood) is a species of tree in the family Olacaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, Eastern North America, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Gulf Fritillary, Honey bee, Dielis plumipes, and Parancistrocerus fulvipes rufovestis. Individuals can grow to 5 m.
