Heracleum sphondylium (Eltrot) is a species of perennial herb in the family Apiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Pipizella, Wasp beetle, Lasioglossum smeathmanellum, and Eupeodes luniger. Individuals can grow to 1.1 m.
