Aesculus californica (California Buckeye) is a species of shrub in the family Sapindaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Western North America, and United States. They have compound, broad leaves, white flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Western Tiger Swallowtail, Satyrium sylvinus, Poanes melane, and Lyssavirus rabies. Individuals can grow to 11 m.
