Pimpinella major (greater burnet-saxifrage) is a herbaceous species of plant in the family Apiaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Empis, Black scavenger fly, Stenocorus meridianus (Linne 1758), and Black-striped Longhorn Beetle. It is a photoautotroph.
