Asclepias tuberosa (Butterfly Milkweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Apocynaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to the contiguous United States and Canada. Butterfly Milkweed has simple, broad leaves and orange flowers. Flowers are visited by Eurytides marcellus. Butterfly Milkweed is a photoautotroph.
