Allamanda cathartica (Golden Trumpet) is a species of shrub in the family Apocynaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Cerrado, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio De Janeiro, Paraná, Sergipe, Piauí, The Neotropics, Maranhao, Amazônia, RondôNia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Acre (Brazil), Santa Catarina, Alagoas, Roraima, Espirito Santo, GoiáS, Tocantins, ParaíBa, Mata Atlântica, Amapá, SãO Paulo, Pará, Ceará, and Mato Grosso Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Tirumala limniace, Spotless Grass Yellow, Oil-collecting bee, and American Bumblebee.
