It is native to Moldova, Belgium, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Turkmenistan, Spain, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Romania, Afghanistan, Germany, Ukraine, Finland, Georgia, Bhutan, United Kingdom, Tajikistan, Portugal, Poland, Iran, Armenia, Nepal, Switzerland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Pakistan, China, India, Denmark, France, Austria, (missing obj_uri), and Belarus. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Two-spotted Bumblebee. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.78 m.
